Into Humiliation

Are you "into humiliation"? Is that what you meant?
Or maybe in need of one jolt of humiliation
to shock your ego back into alignment, to burst
an inflated ego and let the unconscious do its thing?
If so, this is more than okay. It was very brave
to ask for this kind of help. In hindsight, perhaps
you were asking for this all along. Did my fire
leave a scar on your body that will never heal?
Has the goddess slithered off of her pedestal
enraptured, ravished, finally free? Are you human now?

If so, you will need some time to recover.
I would still like to know you, but you
may choose. Ask your heart what it wants.
I think mine wants you. But first put yourself
back together.
