Sexual Cannibalism

In the animal kingdom, many insects
practice sexual cannibalism, the female consuming the male
after copulation. The males seem quite willing
to be eaten, supplying nutrients for the offspring to come.
It would seem that humans have this same kind of instinct,
but luckily, human males have found ways
to make themselves useful, more useful alive
than as food. But not all women recognize this.
Some don't realize (until it's too late)
that to treat a man like food will turn him away,
so long as he respects himself, and why would she want
a man who does not respect himself? Men
are not food, and a woman who plucks on the strings
of these deepest, darkest instincts is likely to find herself
alone with only insect-like men.
