Not One Like Her

Looking back to the beginning, I had some hunch
that she was playing a game. I enticed her to sexualize.
She obliged, with almost too much aplomb. But by doing so
something in her was rattled, dislodged, awakened?
I was not an easy mark. She was mirroring a vast
and deep collection of personalities -- not an easy task.
And one at which she ultimately failed. She may have inspired
desire, but even this proved healthful in the end.
She taught me to want a woman, just not one like her.
