To the Girl in the Library

You catch my eye and I yours.
We share a forbidden moment
of electric possibility. You hide,
you return to the scene of the glance,
you slide and provide me
with a better view, you pass by
on your way to the books behind,
and I notice your scent.
Do you know what you're doing?
Is this how you learn? I see
you need something from the bottom shelf.
Remember this lesson: I like your dance,
but save it
for when you can love and be loved in return.
