Fire and Earth

My fire burns for the image of love,
for the vision of potentials fulfilled in a sacred dance,
but I will not dance with blasphemers.
The gods of love are too real.

But if I step down from the temple
and enter the chamber where love really occurs,
does this image endure? Or is fire quenched by earth?

Fire and earth feed each other.
The earth provides fuel. The fire provides warmth.
