She scans the crowd for faces
she can control. She spots one,
hones in, and begins to attune herself
to its wildest dreams. She cannot
go more than a day without feeding.

You know who you are. Or rather,
you have no idea, but I know what you are.
When that face fails to soothe your empty soul,
you will destroy it, or nearly so, simply for failing,
simply to make another soul empty. No matter how many
admire you, it's never enough, is it?
