'Mid the Pines

We believe that some ideas are better than others, and we teach them.
Brad Lingo, President of Grove City College

We chose it because it felt like home,
a tradition of enquiry and life within which
answers can be found. It still speaks
and will go on speaking. "What is man?"
these stone buildings seem to ask, in a world
that says "Man is whatever he wishes." One place
disagrees. The result is community, hope, belonging,
and clarity, the root and the branch of good order,
a place to grow and believe, to become something
one otherwise could not be. It's a chance to be free
in the deeper sense, free from the passions, distractions
of a disordered soul, and this gift is a pearl
of great price.
